Chebe Cinnamon Roll Mix

When it comes to these, it doesn't matter who the one is who can't have gluten; it's every man, woman and child for him and herself! The hard part is keeping them on the plate long enough to serve the guests! Great for holiday treats, breakfasts, or desserts! Visit our recipe page for ideas.

"CHEBE was one of the first companies I ordered from almost immediately after being diagnosed with Celiac five years ago. Ever since that time, I've been 'addicted' to your products. I'm proud to say that I'm responsible for 3 stores in my area selling Chebe (I raved about you so much they had no choice but to order!)

The very latest delightful surprise is making cinnamon buns (sticky buns....whatever you want to call them) with your cinnamon mix. Chewy, fragrant (even while in the oven), temptingly delicious and comparable to ANY wheat-flour cinnamon bun sold in supermarkets or bakery, I just WISH everyone using CHEBE would try making them!!! In fact, they're superior to Pillsbury's cinnamon buns or bakery buns.

The only negative downside is that it's absolutely impossible to eat just one or two. Non-Celiacs in my family gobble them up as soon as they come out of the oven. I have requests now to bring them for Thanksgiving. Who needs or wants pumpkin pie now?

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! Gotta run as I'm going to bake a batch !

Gratefully - - - your long-time customer, Mrs. Jo M."

Ingredients: Manioc (tapioca) flour, modified manioc starch (100% manioc), evaporated cane juice, cinnamon, iodine-free sea salt.
FREE OF: gluten, wheat, lactose, casein, yeast, soy, corn, rice, potato, peanuts, tree-nuts, and MSG. Made in a gluten-free dedicated facility.
Preparation: Set oven to 375o F.

  1. Blend in a mixing bowl, with a spoon or fork, package contents, 2 tbsp. (30 ml) oil, 1 egg, and 2 tbsp. applesauce. Continue blending while adding 3 tbsp. (45 ml) milk or milk substitute.
  2. Knead dough with hands until it is smooth and well blended. If too dry, add more liquid 1/2 tsp. at a time. With the dough ready, we suggest one of the following preparations:

    Chebe Dipsticks:
You need chocolate chips and butter or shortening.
    Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C).
Roll dough to 1/8” (3 mm) on a sheet of waxed paper. With a knife, cut into long rectangular strips. Gently roll the rectangles lengthwise into the shape of a pencil.
Place the sticks of dough on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 15 minutes or until crispy. Watch carefully to not burn. Remove and let cool.
Fill coffee mug ¾ full with chocolate chips and 1 tbsp. butter or shortening. Melt in microwave at 1/2 power, stirring occasionally until smooth.
Dip Chebe sticks in chocolate sauce and let cool on a sheet of waxed paper.

    Cinnamon-Sugar Rolls:
You need margarine or butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, raisins or chopped nuts. Preheat oven to 400° F (205° C).
Roll dough in a rectangle to 1/4” (6 mm). Spread top of dough with margarine.
Sprinkle evenly over dough 1 tbsp. (15 ml) cinnamon, 4 tbsp. (60 ml) brown sugar and 4 tbsp. raisins.
Roll dough lengthwise into a log. Cut log into ½” (12 mm) sections and place each face down and separately on a greased baking pan.
    Bake for 15-18 minutes.

Makes approximately 14 oz. of dough.
Some customers have had success in replacing the egg with egg substitute (and others have not). Those that have worked are posted on our Preparation Page.
