Here at Chebe Bread Products, we are continuously looking for ways to improve our products. In November, we told you
about new equipment that we acquired to do this. The equipment makes it possible for us to produce Oven-Ready Frozen Dough for
our Rolls and Sandwich Buns that are round in shape instead of square.
Several customers have voiced concerns about the shape of the new Sandwich Buns. Due to these difficulties, we are currently
working with the manufacturer of our new equipment to find a way to go back to the square shaped buns. We expect to have a
solution in place by the end of February.
We have taken several steps to ensure the quality of our Sandwich Buns until that process is completed. One
concern was that the deli paper we used to separate the product ended up sticking to the Buns when they were frozen. We have since
begun packaging the Buns without this paper. Another concern was that the buns didn't rise when baked. We are now mixing our dough
longer which tends to make the final product rise more when baked.
