News and Announcements

We have recently updated our online order page! This simplifies placing internet orders by making it possible to select the quantity of each product using drop-down menus. Unlike our old order page, this allows you to choose any combination of cases of Chebe dry mixes and eliminates the need to search through a long list of choices. We hope that this better serves your needs and makes your shopping experience with us more pleasant.

This Month's Recipe

Grilled Pizza Crust

Enjoy a gluten-free pizza this summer and keep your house cool! Try grilling a Chebe Pizza Crust. There's no need to turn on your oven, it's fast, and it's fantastic!

Prepare Chebe Pizza Crust Mix as directed on the package. Split dough into three parts and roll out to 1/8 inch thickness (about 10 inches in diameter). Grill crust uncovered on medium-high heat until golden brown (about two and a half minutes). Flip crust, add desired toppings (your choice of sauce, meats, veggies, cheese) and cook covered for an additional two minutes. Check to see that bottom of crust is browned and cheese is melted.

Notes: Cooking times will vary with the temperature of the grill. We tested this recipe on both a charcoal grill and a gas grill. The temperature on the charcoal grill was hotter and the crust was ready to flip in about 1 minute. The gas grill allowed for easier temperature setting. If the temperature is too hot, the crust will cook before the toppings are heated and the cheese is melted.

"Slightly Unusual" Fact

The first mechanical dough mixer was supposedly invented in the 1st century AD by Marcus Virgilius Euryasaces, a freed slave. It consisted of a large stone basin in which wooden paddles, powered by a horse or donkey walking in circles, kneaded the dough mixture of flour, leaven, and water.
Slightly Unusual Fact Source

At Chebe Bread Products, we use much more modern equipment to mix the dough for our oven-ready, frozen bread line. We assure you that we don't use live animals to mix of any of our products!
